A family session at Fflughafensee
This summer family photography session took place at Flughafensee in Berlin, a beautiful and quiet lake that’s perfect for relaxed outdoor photos. As a family photographer in Berlin, I often choose locations like this for their natural light and calm atmosphere. We had planned to photograph during sunset, but the sun was setting on the opposite side of the lake, giving us softer light than expected.
Instead of changing locations, we stayed at Flughafensee and worked with what we had. The peaceful summer evening and gentle light created a relaxed setting for natural family photos. Without a dramatic sunset, the focus stayed on real moments, simple interactions, and the connection within this lovely family.
This session is a great example of my approach as a family photographer in Berlin — keeping things natural, relaxed, and focused on genuine moments. Sometimes soft light, a calm location, and a summer evening are all you need for meaningful family photographs.
